Blob Ring with Sapphires & Diamonds

Johanna created this ring for Reciprocity Jewels, an exhibition that was part of New York City Jewelry Week, 2024.
The ring was cast in Peru using 14k Fairmined yellow gold mined by Luis Celadita. The Fairmined initiative enables goldsmiths and consumers to know where metals are mined. However rarely in the jewellery industry can we share the name of the individual who mined the gold.
Johanna chose to finish this ring using vintage, post-Consumer diamonds and responsibly-sourced sapphires from Sri Lanka and Madagascar.
